TachoSafe CardHotel

Smart solution for digital tachograph remote authentication

The TachoSafe CardHotel is the latest addition to the TachoSafe product family.

It replaces the multiple USB-connected card readers used in digital tachograph remote authentication.

With this compact and efficient device, you can manage up to 40 company cards simultaneously, using only one USB port on your computer.

It’s the perfect solution for tachograph download service providers who work with multiple companies and need to automate and speed up their daily operations.

Benefits

  • Multi-company operation in one device
  • Reliable parallel card handling
  • Fast setup and user-friendly interface
  • Ideal for software integration
  • Long-term cost-effective solution
Key features
  • 40 independent card readers in one unit

  • Parallel communication with all cards

  • Requires only a single USB connection

  • Compact design: 31 × 21 × 6 cm

  • Suitable for desktop or wall installation

  • Package contents: device, USB cable, power adapter

  • Compatibility Windows and Linux operating systems
How it works

Simply connect the CardHotel to your computer via USB and run the driver installer
— available on the device’s built-in drive or downloadable from our website.

Once installed, each card slot appears as a standard PC/SC smart card reader in Windows
— no special drivers or serial port configuration needed.
Then install the TachoSafe RDU – Multi Company Manager software, which automatically
detects the device and all inserted cards — or use any other smart card handling software of your choice.Insert the company cards into the readers and assign each card to the relevant company within the application.

Integration with other systems

The TachoSafe CardHotel integrates seamlessly with any smart card application. After installing the driver, each card slot is exposed as a standard PC/SC (WinSCard) reader, so existing tachograph downloading or fleet management software can use the cards directly — just as they would with individual USB card readers.
No proprietary protocols or custom development required. Any application that uses the standard Windows Smart Card API will work out of the box.
